CFC hires former Markel CUO Nick Line

CFC Underwriting Ltd. Friday named Nick Line, former chief underwriting officer at Markel Corp., as its next CUO.

Mr. Line will join CFC in 2026. He replaces Matt Taylor, who took on the role of CUO on an interim basis in February this year following the departure of Dan Trueman after a strategic review.

Mr. Line was appointed CUO at Markel in 2018. Before that, he was chief actuary. He started in the industry in 1997.
