CFC, a specialist insurance provider focused on emerging risks and cyber, has appointed Matthew Glenville to the newly created role of Group Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In his new position, Glenville is tasked with streamlining operations across CFC and enhancing collaboration between its underwriting, technology, and business operations teams.
Glenville brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as Group COO at DWF Law for over two years. Before that, he was COO and Chief Technology Officer at ICE Clear Europe, a clearing house for financial derivatives.
Simultaneously, CFC has announced several senior role changes, including the promotion of Tim Boyce to Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer for Tech, Media, and IP, in addition to his existing responsibilities for Professions and Healthcare, further aligning two of its most successful divisions.
Michael Brunero, the former Head of Tech, Media, and IP, is relocating to New York to take on the role of Managing Director, USA.
He succeeds Shannon Groeber, who is leaving the business after five years of leading the US team.
Louise O’Shea, Group Chief Executive Officer at CFC commented on Glenville’s appointment, “This is a hugely important new role within the business as we lay the foundations for continued value creation in CFC’s ambitious plans for long-term growth, and I can’t think of a better person to take on these responsibilities than Matt. He loves helping companies go from good to great and to be the best in the world in their chosen field.
“He has extensive experience delivering value creation for high-growth, tech-led businesses as well as working in different industry sectors from financial services and tech to law, in both listed and PE-backed companies. His passion for creating businesses, products and teams that stand out from the competition strongly resonates with the team here at CFC and I am truly delighted to welcome him on board.”
Glenville added, “I am beyond excited to join Louise and the team at CFC and to be part of such an exceptional and innovative business. I’m really looking forward to delivering on the long-term growth plans and making sure that underwriting, technology and business operations work hand-in-hand as we continue to scale.”
