Chaucer appoints industry veteran Angus Milgate as Head of Distribution

Chaucer, the global specialty re/insurance firm, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Angus Milgate as Head of Distribution.

Milgate will join the company in October and will report to Nicola Stacey, Chief Underwriting Officer at Chaucer.

In his new role, Milgate will focus on expanding key relationships, facilitating access to senior executives in the market, and creating new business opportunities for the company.

Richard Milner, Group Chief Executive Officer at Chaucer, expressed enthusiasm for Milgate’s appointment, stating, “We are very pleased to have Angus joining us at Chaucer.

“His energy and collaborative mindset will help drive the delivery of our strategy and provide business opportunities within the market.”

Milner added, “I’ve been very familiar with and impressed by Angus’ work for many years. I am delighted that he will be bringing his skillset, market knowledge and his wealth of international experience to Chaucer.”

Milgate brings over 30 years of industry experience to his new role. Most recently, he was a Partner at McGill and Partners for three years.

Prior to that, he spent over two decades at Aon, where he held senior positions including Team Member and Managing Director.
