Chubb names Michael O’Donnell COO, global reinsurance

Chubb Ltd. on Friday said Michael O’Donnell has been named chief operating officer, global reinsurance, effective immediately.

Mr. O’Donnell will run the strategic and tactical operations of the company’s global reinsurance operations while continuing to have responsibility for the U.S. operations of Chubb Tempest Re, a Chubb statement said.

Mr. O’Donnell was most recently division president of Chubb Tempest Re USA.

He is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and will continue to report to Jim Wixtead, senior vice president, Chubb Group, and president of Chubb Tempest Re.
