Chubb promotes James Brown to Head of Major Accounts, Asia

Global insurer Chubb has announced the promotion of James Brown to Head of Major Accounts for Asia, in addition to his current position as Head of Global Broking, Asia.

In his expanded role, Brown will be responsible for managing and growing Chubb’s Major Accounts division while ensuring exceptional service for the company’s key clients. He will drive business strategy, collaborate on strategic initiatives, and deliver Chubb’s value proposition to clients across Asia.

He succeeds Doug White, who has stepped down after nearly seven years in the role, following his recent appointment as Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific.

Brown joined Chubb in 2017 as Senior Underwriter – Financial Lines. Since then, he has held several senior roles, including Head of Financial Lines and Head of the Major Accounts division in Singapore. He has served as Head of Global Broking, Asia, since January 2025.

Prior to joining Chubb, Brown spent nearly five years at Zurich, most recently as Underwriter – Financial Institutions, where he managed a portfolio of financial institutions and crime business.
