CLARA Analytics, a provider of artificial intelligence (AI) technology for optimising insurance claims, has announced the appointment of Eugene Wong as Chief Financial Officer.
In his new role, Wong will work closely with CLARA’s CEO, Heather H. Wilson, to drive the company’s financial and strategic direction amid its strong growth.
Wilson expressed her enthusiasm for Wong’s appointment, stating, “Eugene is not only a gifted financial leader, but he also understands the unique world of high-growth startups — the challenges and opportunities they face as they mature into enduring enterprises.”
She added, “Eugene is also passionate about our mission at CLARA. We are confident he is the right person to help us move aggressively into the future with sound fiscal leadership.”
Wong brings over 15 years of finance and operating experience to his new role. He joins CLARA from Hometap where he served as Chief Financial Officer.
Before that, he spent four years as Vice President of Strategy & Finance at Forward Financing and held various positions at Silicon Valley Bank and Goldman Sachs.
Commenting on his new role, Wong said, “I am very enthusiastic about joining CLARA as the company leads the insurance industry forward, empowering claims representatives with AI-driven insights.”
He continued, “The CLARA team listens to its customers and persistently innovates, most recently exemplified by the new CLARA Claims DocIntel Pro. The work we do has a profound, positive impact on claims, insurance professionals, and claimants, which ultimately decreases costs and improves experiences. These are just a few of the reasons CLARA has such strong customer traction and retention.”
