CNA announces executive changes

CNA Financial Corp. said Chief Operations Officer Michael Costonis would move to a new position at the insurer and it has recruited an executive from a reinsurer to replace him as operations leader.

Mr. Costonis, who joined CNA from Accenture PLC in 2018, will become the insurer’s global head of marketing, strategy and innovation, a newly created position.

He will be succeeded by Gary Haase, who was previously group chief operating officer at Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd., a runoff reinsurer. Mr. Haase will join CNA at the start of the fourth quarter.
