Concert Group makes senior leadership changes

Fronting insurer Concert Group announced Friday that John Hendrickson has stepped down as CEO and has been succeeded by Sam LaDuca.

Mr. Hendrickson, who had been CEO since 2022, will remain on Concert’s board.

Mr. LaDuca joined Concert in 2022 as chief actuary and before that was executive vice president, product, underwriting and actuarial at Merchants Insurance Group.

Matt Wagner was named president, in addition to his current role as chief legal officer and general counsel, Concert said.

Before joining Chicago-based Concert in 2021, Mr. Wagner was president of CEM Insurance, a specialty insurer that Concert bought and renamed that year.

Katarina Scamborova was named chief financial officer, succeeding Mike Rybak, who is retiring in June 2026. Ms. Scamborova will retain her role as president of Harmony Re, Concert’s risk retention vehicle.

All the moves are effective immediately. Mr. Rybak will remain available to the finance team until his retirement.

Concert was launched in 2021 by a group of captive management and insurance executives and Boston-based private-equity firm Century Equity Partners.
