Coverys hires former Hartford chief admin officer as COO

Medical malpractice insurer Coverys Inc. on Wednesday named Cathy Donahue as its chief operating officer.

Previously, Ms. Donahue was chief administrative officer at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.

At Coverys, Ms. Donahue will oversee claims; human resources; risk management and analytics; diversity, equity and inclusion; information technology; enterprise risk management; and enterprise project management, a Coverys statement said.

Coverys had operated without a COO since 2021 when Joseph G. Murphy was promoted from the position to CEO of the Boston-based insurer.
