Cowbell Cyber hires from Swiss Re, Axis Re

Cyber insurer Cowbell Cyber Inc. said Tuesday it has hired officials from Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. and Axis Reinsurance.

The Pleasanton, California-based insurer said in a statement that Theresa Le, former vice president, cyber claims expert, at Swiss Re, has joined it as head of claims and risk engineering.

In addition, Dan Palardy has been named lead actuary at Cowbell. He was most recently senior pricing actuary, professional lines, at Axis Re, a unit of Axis Capital Insurance Holdings Ltd.

Cowbell Cyber Inc. said earlier this month it has formed Cowbell Re, a cyber insurance captive.
