CRC Group announced Monday that it plans to acquire Lloyd’s of London managing general agency Atrial Underwriting Group Ltd.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Atrium, the underwriting business that manages Lloyd’s Syndicate 609 and writes specialty insurance and reinsurance across property, casualty and specialty business groups, generated $1.3 billion in gross written premium in 2024, CRC said.
CRC is buying Atrium from investment funds managed by Stone Point Capital LLC and other investors. Stone Point is an investor in CRC and in wholesaler ARC Excess & Surplus LLC, which CRC recently acquired.
Atrium will retain its brand name and leadership, CRC said.
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter.
