Datavant, a health care data platform that serves the workers compensation industry, on Thursday announced it has signed an agreement to acquire DigitalOwl, an AI-driven medical data analysis company based in New York.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition comes nearly two months after New York-based Datavant acquired Ontellus, a Houston-based health records retrieval and claims intelligence company that provides services for organizations managing workers’ compensation claims.
Datavant said in a statement that DigitalOwl’s proprietary technology, combined with Ontellus’ health records retrieval and claims intelligence capabilities, will offer a data collaboration platform that includes managed retrieval, automated summaries, chronology, de-duplication, and AI-enabled predictive analytics for medical records.
