Datavant acquires comp health records company

Datavant on Wednesday announced its acquisition of Ontellus, a Houston-based health records retrieval and claims intelligence company providing services for organizations managing workers compensation claims.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

New York City-based Datavant is a health data platform that connects patient data across organizations. The company said its acquisition “is meant to facilitate the exchange of clinical and billing data between providers and any professional organization that requests them — be it a legal department or insurance company.”
