Davies acquires Florida-based property inspection specialist

London-based insurance and claims management company Davies Group Ltd. said Tuesday it has acquired Insurance Risk Services Inc.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Lake Mary, Florida-based IRS specializes in residential and light commercial inspections, self-inspections, telephone audits and drone roof inspections, Davies said in a statement. IRS’ national network of more than 1,000 field inspectors will form part of Davies’ global insurance services business, led by CEO Steven Crabb.
IRS President Dave Valenzano and Chief Operating Officer Seth Bostock will continue to lead day-to-day operations, reporting to Davies’ U.S. Insurance Services CEO, Rob Dewen, and IRS employees will continue in their roles within Davies.
Dan Saulter, group CEO of Davies, said in the statement that IRS completed close to 1 million inspections in 2020 and has invested heavily in developing its cloud-based technology platform to streamline inspections.
