Davies names head of North America operations

Davies, a claims and insurance management company, said Thursday it promoted Mike Heard to president of operations – North America.
He will report to Dhara Patel, CEO of Davies’ North American division.
Mr. Heard will play a key role in transforming and simplifying the company’s operations in North America and will drive its generative AI strategy, Davies said.
In May, Davies secured £275 million ($370 million) in new credit facilities to fund investment in GenAI and automation, as well as global mergers and acquisitions activity and organic growth. Existing lead lender Blackstone Credit and Insurance provided the senior debt.
Mr. Heard joined Davies last year and previously was chief operating officer of its life and health division.
In the newly created role, Mr. Heard will lead back-office operations, accelerate integration and scale the company’s service-delivery model. He will also be a member of the senior team responsible for developing Davies’ GenAI strategy.
