Claims and insurance management company Davies on Thursday named former BMS Group Ltd. leader James Ferris as the next CEO of its captive management business, effective July 1.
He succeeds Nick Frost, who will become chairman.
Mr. Ferris, who will be based in Bermuda, will head up the global captives team at Davies.
As chairman, Mr. Frost will work to bolster Davies’ appeal for U.S. captive owners.
The new leadership structure positions the captive management business to grow into new global domiciles in response to increased client demand for international support, Davies said in a statement.
Mr. Ferris most recently was CEO of BMS’ capital and risk advisory in Bermuda. Before that he was lead partner of the advisory team in Bermuda at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He joined PwC in 2000.
