Dynamic Reinsurance appoints David Vargas Chavez as Operations Director

Underwriting agency Dynamic Reinsurance has announced the promotion of David Vargas Chavez to Operations Director, a role based in Mexico City.

“For me this role represents a challenge that I feel prepared to take on, supported by the experience I have gained at this great company and in the insurance/reinsurance sector. I am deeply grateful for what I have learned so far and for what I will continue to learn in the future,” commented Vargas Chavez.

Dynamic Reinsurance’s new Operations Director brings to his new role close to two decades of industry experience, having previously served as Business Development Manager for the company.

The underwriting agency provides property facultative and treaty reinsurance to brokers and insurance companies operating in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Before joining Dynamic Reinsurance in 2023, Vargas Chavez served as Deputy Director of Overseas and Special Lines for Reaseguradora Patria.

Prior to that, he spent over six years with Tokio Marine, where he held a number of roles following close to five years at Reaseguradora Patria as Overseas Underwriting Assistant Manager.

Vargas Chavez also served as Hull Underwriter (Maritime and Aviation) and Cargo Transport for Seguros Atlas Mx, as well as Property Reinsurance Underwriter – South America/Pacific Coast at Reaseguradora Patria.
