Enstar names Brockman Chief Commercial Officer ahead of President Gregory’s retirement

Global legacy re/insurance specialist Enstar Group Limited has appointed Paul Brockman to the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer, effective immediately, with Adrian Thornycroft set to join the firm in May of next year as Chief Administrative Officer.

These changes to Enstar’s executive leadership team are in connection with the upcoming retirement of President Orla Gregory at the end the year, and also the company’s expanding role in the insurance sector.

Brockman, who joined Enstar in 2012 and most recently served as Group Chief Operating Officer, has over 30 years of experience across the legacy and re/insurance sectors. He is now responsible for corporate development, and will serve as one of the primary liaisons to the insurance market, engaging with industry leaders, and optimising market opportunities.

Thornycroft, who joins in May 2025, brings deep operational and leadership experience to the firm, with a track record of successfully delivering significant business and change programmes at the likes of Brit, Lloyd’s, and MS Amlin. In his new role, he will be based in Bermuda and will take on numerous responsibilities from Gregory as well as take a leading role with respect to change strategy.

The remaining responsibilities under the role of the outgoing President will be assumed by the wider leadership team, explains Enstar.
