EPIC hires former Willis leader to head Northeast

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants said Monday it has hired Karen Beldy Torborg as president of its Northeast region.

Previously, New York-based Ms. Torborg was head of strategic growth and portfolio management in the corporate risk and broking division at Willis Towers Watson PLC.

Before joining Willis in 2023, she spent 19 years at Marsh LLC, where she was a managing director and held various leadership roles, including global engagement partner and private equity and M&A services practice leader.

Ms. Torborg was named one of the 2006 Business Insurance Women to Watch.

She succeeds Len Scioscia, who was named chairman of EPIC’s Northeast region.
