EPIC snags Risk Strategies exec for entertainment, sports practice

EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants has recruited former Risk Strategies Co. executive Peter Marshall as managing principal, media services in its entertainment and sports practice.

Mr. Marshall was previously managing director at Risk Strategies, a specialty brokerage under the entertainment practice of DeWitt Stern Group Inc.

Based in New York, Mr. Marshall will continue to develop EPIC’s entertainment business, San Francisco-based EPIC said in a statement Monday. He will report to Scott Davis, head of national specialty practice.

Mr. Marshall brings nearly two decades of industry experience with a specific focus on film, television and new media. Prior to his role at Risk Strategies, he was senior vice president of film production at Lionsgate and head of television production at Trimark Pictures.
