Everest makes Williamson’s elevation to CEO permanent

Everest Group Ltd. said Wednesday that Jim Williamson, who was named acting CEO earlier this month, had been appointed president and CEO by the board of the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer.

The move follows the resignation of former chief Juan C. Andrade, who was named head of personal lines insurer USAA.

Mr. Williamson joined Everest in 2020 as executive vice president and group chief operating officer.

Previously, he worked at Chubb Ltd., where he was division president, North America small business. He began his insurance career as a casualty underwriter at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.
