Everest promotes Beggs to reinsurance CEO

Everest Group Ltd. said Thursday it named Executive Vice President Jill Beggs to the newly created role of CEO of reinsurance.

Previously, Everest President and CEO Jim Williamson also headed reinsurance.

Ms. Beggs, who rejoined Everest in 2021 after 20 years at Munich Reinsurance Co., most recently was chief operating officer of the division. She previously worked at Everest from 1993 to 2002.

She was one of the 2023 Business Insurance Women to Watch.

Everest also announced Thursday that Josh Pillion joined Everest Insurance as U.S. national distribution manager. Mr. Pillion, based in Los Angeles, was most recently executive vice president and head of global distribution management at Sompo International.
