Everest promotes casualty executive

Everest Group Ltd. Monday named Joe Fobert head of U.S. retail casualty and industry practices for Everest Insurance, its insurance and reinsurance business.

He reports to Bill Hazelton, executive vice president of Everest Insurance and president of North America insurance.

New York-based Mr. Fobert joined Everest in January as senior vice president of reinsurance casualty strategy. Prior to that, he was head of major accounts excess casualty and chairman of the global casualty product board at Chubb Ltd.

Before that, he held various casualty and risk management leadership roles at American International Group Inc. and Crum & Forster.
