Everspan Group taps Dresner as president

Everspan Group, a specialty property/casualty insurance platform and subsidiary of New York-based financial services holding company Ambac Financial Group Inc., on Tuesday named Steven K. Dresner as president.

Mr. Dresner succeeds Wyatt Blackburn, who has retired. Mr. Blackburn will become vice chairman of Everspan Holdings and a member of the board, Everspan said in a statement.

Mr. Dresner, based in New York, joined Everspan in 2020 as chief underwriting and reinsurance officer after nearly four decades working in program business and surplus lines. Prior to that he was senior vice president at Crum & Forster, where he oversaw business development and ceded reinsurance.
