Falvey names COO, makes other appointments

Falvey Insurance Group Monday said Brody Karn was named chief operating officer effective Jan. 1.

Mr. Karn succeeded Jack Falvey, who assumed the CEO role Jan. 1. Mr. Karn was most recently associate counsel.

Eric Newman was appointed chief risk officer, and Brad Eldridge was named chief growth officer in newly created roles.

Mr. Newman continues to lead claims, loss prevention, recoveries, and risk intelligence. He was most recently executive vice president of claims, loss prevention, and recoveries.

Mr. Eldridge leads production and oversees business development, marketing, and wholesale brokerage. He was previously chief relationship officer.

Mr. Eldridge was a 2020 Business Insurance Break Out Award winner.

All three are based in Falvey’s North Kingstown, Rhode Island, headquarters.

Emmy Falvey, formerly with Westfield Specialty, will take up the role of senior vice president-head of capacity, effective Jan. 21. Based in London, Ms. Falvey will manage market relationships. She was previously a cargo underwriter at Westfield Specialty.
