Fidelis appoints William Waddell-Dudley as UK CUO

Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited (Fidelis Insurance Group) has announced the appointment of William Waddell-Dudley as UK Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).

In his new role, Waddell-Dudley will work closely with the Bermuda and Ireland Chief Underwriting Officers to help shape the company’s underwriting strategy and drive innovation within its London operations. He will report to Ian Houston, Group Chief Underwriting Officer.

Waddell-Dudley brings more than 20 years of industry experience. He joins Fidelis from IQUW, where he most recently served as Lead Underwriter, Specialty Reinsurance, with a particular focus on Marine, Energy, Cyber, and Aviation lines of business.

Prior to that, he was joint Head of Accident and Health at both AmTrust at Lloyd’s and Talbot Underwriting.

Earlier in his career, Waddell-Dudley held underwriting positions at Hiscox and AIG.
