Flood insurer Wright agrees to buy Poulton

Wright National Flood Insurance said Friday that affiliate Wright National Flood Insurance Services, an operating company of Arrowhead Programs, has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of private flood insurance providers Poulton Associates.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The transaction is expected to close in November 2025, subject to certain conditions.
Wright said the deal makes Wright Flood the largest provider of flood insurance in the United States.
Poulton Associates, headquartered in Salt Lake City, owns and operates the web platform www.CATcoverage.com and provides coverage through its National Catastrophe Insurance Program as well as other insurance offerings.
Poulton has approximately 30 employees and all will be joining Wright, according to an email from a spokesman.
Wright Flood is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown, operating within Arrowhead Programs, a division of Arrowhead Intermediaries.
