Global re/insurance broker Aon has announced the promotion of Vincent Flood as the firm’s new commercial risk property leader for North America.
He succeeds Rick Miller, who was practice leader before his passing in April.
Based in New York, Flood leads the design and implementation of complex global risk transfer programs, including captive programs, catastrophe coverage and engineering solutions.
The executive brings to his new role, more than three decades of brokering experience, having worked in multiple industry sectors, including real estate, Financial Institutions and technology.
Flood joined Aon more than 27 years ago as a Chief Broking Officer for its national property practice, a role he has held since 1997. Prior to Aon, he served as a property broker at Johnson & Higgins, a role he held for eight years.
Earlier in the month, the broker also announced the appointment of Will Allen as Executive Managing Director of Capital Advisory within Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.
In his new role he will be responsible for sourcing capital from global organisations to support Lloyd’s of London programmes, including Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) and London Bridge structures, as well as risk transfer programmes involving the London Market and Aon’s broader client base.
