Gainesville, Florida-based King Insurance said Tuesday it has bought Fordham Insurance Agency, a commercial lines agency in Fort Lauderdale, and its sister company AGM Insurance Agency, which handles personal lines business.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The two agencies have a total of 10 employees, said Jay Grevers, chief financial officer of King. The deal is the 13th completed by King this year, he said.
King “plans to continue to broaden its footprint across the southeastern U.S. and expects to announce a number of important acquisitions in the upcoming months,” the brokerage said in a statement.
BHMS Investments LP invested in King in July. The private equity firm had previously invested in The Hilb Group LLC, PCF Insurance Services and Inszone Insurance Services LLC.
