Former Gallagher Re exec named next CEO of BMS Re Bermuda

BMS Re on Monday announced the appointment of Chris McDowell as CEO of BMS Re Bermuda, effective Nov. 26.
The specialty reinsurer also said Mario Binetti has joined BMS Re Bermuda as head of casualty treaty and actuarial.
Mr. McDowell joins BMS Re Bermuda from Gallagher Re Bermuda where he served as CEO. He was previously CEO of global re specialty at Aon Benfield in Bermuda.
Mr. Binetti previously served as head of casualty treaty underwriting and actuarial at Everest Re Bermuda and was senior vice president and chief actuary at JRG Re in Bermuda.
Both will be based in Bermuda in their new roles.
