Former Willis CTO joins Supercede Technology

Supercede Technology Ltd., a global reinsurance platform, said Tuesday it has hired Aydin Betez, former chief technology officer of Willis Re, as chief product officer.

Based in London, in the new role Mr. Betez will help Supercede’s customers develop technology strategies.

At Willis Re, Mr. Betez led global technology, engineering, software development and IT operations, delivery and data strategy. Prior to that, he worked at Capco as a digital executive advisor supporting large financial institutions integrating with fintech partners.

Mr. Betez’s is the latest in a series of departures from Willis Re following the collapse of the merger between Aon PLC and Willis Towers Watson PLC. Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced on Friday that it had agreed to acquire Willis’ treaty reinsurance business.
