Fortegra hires CFO from Liberty Mutual

Specialty insurer The Fortegra Group Inc. on Wednesday said that former Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. executive Edward Peña has been named chief financial officer, effective Aug. 28, 2023.

Mike Grasher, Fortegra’s current CFO, will then transition to executive vice president, international business development, a company statement said.

Mr. Peña was most recently chief financial officer with Liberty Mutual’s global retail markets division.

As executive vice president, international business development, Mr. Grasher will build out Fortegra’s specialty insurance companies in the U.K. and the European Union. He will continue reporting to Fortegra CEO Rick Kahlbaugh, the statement said.
