Gallagher acquires Louisiana-based agribusiness specialist

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Tuesday it has acquired Bastrop, Louisiana-based Files Agribusiness LLC.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Files Agribusiness, founded in 2010, specializes in federal crop insurance, agribusiness property/casualty and agricultural aviation coverages, primarily for clients in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi.
John Files and Files Agribusiness staff will continue to operate from their current location under Bumpy Triche, head of Gallagher’s Mid-South retail property/casualty brokerage operations. The Files Agribusiness website shows six employees in addition to Mr. Files at the Bastrop location.
Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is the fourth-largest broker of U.S business according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
