Gallagher Bassett acquires W K Webster to expand claims management services

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has announced that its claims and risk management subsidiary, Gallagher Bassett, has acquired W K Webster & Co Ltd (W K Webster), with financial details not disclosed.
W K Webster specialises in managing marine and transit claims, offering a full range of services to insurers and self-insured companies worldwide.
Headquartered in London, the company also operates offices in Singapore, the United States, and the Netherlands.
Anthony Smith and his team will become part of Gallagher Bassett, reporting to Manan Sagar, who leads the company’s operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
