Gallagher Bassett names captive, claims leaders

Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., the claims and risk management subsidiary of Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Monday named Ajay Sinha as managing director of its captive practice.

Chicago-based Mr. Sinha previously led the claims operation in the U.S. and Canada. He joined Gallagher Bassett in 2011.

Irina Simpson was named executive vice president of workers compensation, succeeding Mr. Sinha.

Ms. Simpson previously was senior vice president and chief claims officer at PMA Cos. Inc.

Gallagher Bassett’s captive practice focuses on group captives and is separate from Artex Risk Solutions Inc., the captive management unit of Arthur J. Gallagher.
