Gallagher buys Indiana broker

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Inc. said Monday it has acquired Stewart, Brimner, Peters & Co. Inc., a retail broker based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

SBP places commercial and personal lines coverages and provides employee benefits consulting to businesses in central and northern Indiana.

Presidents Jason Brimner, John Brimner, Jeff Peters, Mick Stewart and about 50 employees will remain in their current location under the direction of Sean Gallagher, head of Gallagher’s Great Lakes region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
