Gallagher expands upstream energy team with three senior appointments

Insurance and reinsurance broking group Gallagher has announced three senior appointments in its upstream energy division to support its expanding client base.
Darren Jones has been named Executive Partner, bringing over 20 years of experience in energy broking. He joins from Miller, where he served as Upstream Energy Account Executive. Previously, he held senior roles at Marsh as Senior Vice President and at Lockton as Director.
Ian Curtin will also join later this month as Executive Partner. Curtin has spent the last six years at Miller as Head of Energy Construction and previously held senior positions at Marsh, Lockton, and Sedgwick.
Daniel Stobart will take on the role of Partner & Account Executive in early 2025. With 23 years in insurance, he has spent the last decade developing, placing, and servicing energy insurance programs for international oil and gas companies and contractors. Stobart joins from Marsh, where he was an Energy Client Executive, following over 20 years at JLT Group as Partner – Marine and Energy.
