Gallagher names US head of aerospace claims

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Friday that it hired Sherry J. Ortiz, formerly with United States Aviation Insurance Group, as U.S. head of aerospace claims in its global aerospace practice.

She will report to Steve Lloyd, CEO of aerospace for Gallagher in the U.S.

Ms. Ortiz, based in New York, was previously senior vice president and senior aviation litigation attorney at USAIG.

Before that, she was a law clerk at Trope & Decarolis LLP and worked at the Federal Aviation Administration’s New England Regional Counsel’s office.
