Gallagher Re hires Lockton Re’s Apostolides as Head of Casualty, NA

Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Emily Apostolides as Head of Casualty, North America (NA).

Apostolides has extensive experience in the Property and Casualty (P&C) treaty space, specialising in specialty casualty and financial lines.

She has worked with a wide range of clients to develop, design and place their reinsurance, though her focus is on global and large national clients operating in these spaces.

“Emily brings deep expertise and leadership to the role and will be instrumental in building on the strong foundation of our North American casualty team,” a Gallagher Re spokesperson stated.

The executive is joining Gallagher Re from Lockton Re, where she served as Senior broker, a role she held for five years, and assisted in building out its North American platform.

Before her tenure at Lockton Re, Apostolides spent 14 years as Executive Vice President at Willis Re.

Apostolides’ hire is one of Gallagher Re’s most recent appointments, and follows the hiring of

Braithwaite, who like Apostolides joined the company from Lockton Re, will play a key part in shaping the strategic direction of Gallagher Re’s North American business and will focus on aligning the company’s regional products with its global strategy.
