Gallagher Re, the reinsurance business of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., announced Tuesday the appointment of Steve Bowen to the newly created position of chief science officer within its global analytics and advisory unit.
Mr. Bowen joins Gallagher Re from Aon PLC, where he spent 15 years, most recently as managing director and head of catastrophe insight.
He will begin his new role on Oct. 3 and will be based in Chicago.
