Gallagher UK names Sarah Lyons Specialty CEO

Gallagher UK has announced the appointment of Sarah Lyons as Specialty CEO, a London-based role.

In her new role, Lyons will lead 1400 colleagues in the Specialty division, which support large clients across the globe with their insurance and risk management needs.

The executive, who has two decades of industry experience, has been part of Gallagher for the last decade, most recently serving as CEO Australia & Asia.

She initially joined the company in 2014 as Chief Operating Officer and was later appointed Managing Director – Commercial Broking before becoming Chief Executive Australia.

Prior to Gallagher, Lyons was Head of Commercial Broking at IAMOS Insurance Brokers, and Chief Finance & Central Operations Officer at UKGlobal Risk Solutions.

Earlier in her career, she spent over four years at Giles Insurance Brokers (before it was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in 2013), where she held a number of roles. She also held various positions at HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland).
