Global Parametrics names Harry Titherley Business Development Director

Global Parametrics, a CelsiusPro Group company, has announced the appointment of Harry Titherley as Business Development Director, a London-based role.

Titherley brings extensive experience in parametric re/insurance to his new role. He has a strong track record in originating, designing, and placing parametric schemes for various lines of business, as well as covering perils such as weather and natural catastrophes.

He joins Global Parametrics from Gallagher Re, where he most recently served as Divisional Director – Latin America and Caribbean.

While at Gallagher Re, Titherley focused on developing the firm’s treaty re/insurance portfolio in the Caribbean and driving growth initiatives in parametric solutions and cyber re/insurance across the region.

Prior to this, the executive served at MNK Re Limited, where he was Director-Specialty Treaty before being appointed Head of Innovation.

Before MNK RE, Titherley worked at Aon, having joined the company as Client Manager/Reinsurance Broker and becoming Head of Casualty and Financial Lines Latin America Treaty.

Commenting on his appointment as Business Development Director, Titherley said: “I am very much looking forward to driving the adoption of parametric reinsurance solutions to further build resilience against the financial impact of natural catastrophes and climate change, and to close the protection gap.”
