Guy Carpenter appoints executives to global cyber business

Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.’s reinsurance brokerage unit, said Tuesday it has named officials to its global cyber business.

Matthew McCabe has been appointed managing director of cyber broking based in New York. He rejoins Guy Carpenter from Berkeley, California-based Kivu Consulting, where he was general counsel and risk officer. He was previously a senior vice president at Marsh where he was responsible for cyber policy.

Souki Chahid was named head of international cyber analytics and will be based in London. Ms. Chahid was previously cyber modeling manager for CFC Underwriting Ltd.

Zain Awen, who is London-based, was named international ILS lead, with responsibility for analytical and transactional capabilities. He will also partner with Carpenter unit GC Securities to structure and deliver cyber insurance-lined securities transactions. 

Mr. Awen was most recently senior vice president, reinsurance broker and actuary, in Guy Carpenter’s London cyber operation.

Guy Carpenter also named Grace Seigle as a New York-based cyber broker. She joins it from Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. reinsurance brokerage unit Gallagher Re, where she was a cyber specialist broker, according to LinkedIn.
