Hamilton Global Specialty names Thorp as Head of Space, Golder to lead Treaty

Hamilton Global Specialty, an underwriting platform of Bermuda-domiciled Hamilton Insurance Group, has made two senior underwriting appointments, naming Mike Thorp as Head of Space and Chris Golder as Head of Treaty.
In their new roles, Thorp will report to Sinead Cormican, Deputy Active Underwriter, Syndicate 4000, while Golder will report to Miles Osorio, Active Underwriter, Syndicate 4000.
The firm stated that these appointments highlight the strength of internal talent and succession planning to support its business priorities.

Thorp joined Hamilton in September 2015 and was integral to the launch of the space programme in the same year supporting its success over the past nine years. He has 24 years of technical and underwriting experience in the segment.
Golder has 16 years of industry experience, including a decade in underwriting and joined the Hamilton Treaty Insurance team in February 2023.
