Hamilton hires former James River execs

Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd. said Tuesday it has hired two former James River Group Holdings Ltd. executives as senior underwriting leaders in its U.S. excess and surplus lines business.

Diane Wisner has been appointed head of excess casualty insurance and Pam Gosslin as head of medical professionals liability, Hamilton said. Both positions are newly created roles.

Ms. Wisner and Ms. Gosslin, based in Richmond, Virginia, will report to Clay Rhoades, president, U.S. excess and surplus.

The appointments come as Hamilton continues to build out its U.S.-based book of excess and surplus business.

Ms. Wisner was previously executive underwriter in the energy division at James River. Ms. Gosslin was previously division manager of James River’s allied health and healthcare divisions.
