Hannover Re appoints Kai Aschenbach as General Manager

Global reinsurer Hannover Re has announced the appointment of Kai Aschenbach as General Manager.
In his new role, Aschenbach will focus on the consistent implementation of core IT topics and the standardised support and integration of the company’s platforms.
He joined Hannover Re in 2022 and most recently served as Head of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics. During his time at the company, he has advised on concept development for strategic initiatives and contributed to the digital transformation of existing IT solutions.
As a project manager, he has also supported the successful implementation of these initiatives.
Before joining Hannover Re, Aschenbach spent a decade at HDI Global SE, where he most recently served as Head of Financial BI-Tools.
Earlier in his career, he held positions at Talanx and E.ON Digital Technology.
