HDI Global appoints Geoff Godwin as Chief Operating Officer

Commercial and specialty lines insurer HDI Global has announced the appointment of Geoff Godwin as Chief Operating Officer, effective April 28, 2025.

Godwin will join the Executive Team, reporting to Stephanie Ogden, Chief Executive Officer of HDI Global UK and Ireland.

Ogden stated, “My ambition has always been to secure a strong, diverse executive team to help lead our UK and Ireland business, and in the short time since I became CEO, I am thrilled that we have delivered just that.

“Geoff will bring fresh thinking to our business at a time when service and operational excellence is at the core of our growth strategy. I am confident that alongside the rest of our executive team, Geoff and our whole operations function will deliver great things in 2025 and beyond.”

Godwin joins HDI Global from AIG, where he spent 16 years in leadership roles, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. As a member of AIG’s Executive Committee, he oversaw UK Operations, the Customer Contact Centre, Underwriting Operations, Customer Complaints & Conduct, and Product Development oversight.
