HDI hires former Everest exec as head of casualty

HDI Global Insurance, the U.S. carrier of specialty insurer HDI Global, on Wednesday named former Everest Insurance executive Bruce Griffin as head of casualty.

Mr. Griffin will oversee all aspects of HGIC’s casualty business, including strategy, underwriting, portfolio management and product development, including both primary and excess casualty lines.

He will be based in Chicago and report to Marco Hensel, chief underwriting officer.

Mr. Griffin was most recently CUO, U.S. casualty, at Everest Insurance.

HDI Global Insurance also named former Ambridge Insurance executive Himadri Trivedi to the newly created role of business transformation lead. Chicago-based Ms. Trivedi was most recently product manager for Ambridge Insurance.
