Heffernan buys Southern California brokerage

Heffernan Insurance Brokers Inc. said Friday it has acquired Calco Commercial Insurance Services, a Sherman Oaks, California-based brokerage.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 2008, Calco places coverage for small businesses in the vape, medical spa and cryotherapy sectors.

Calco has joined Heffernan’s small-business division, HeffDirect.
