Higginbotham promotes commercial insurance exec

Higginbotham Tuesday promoted Chris Rooker to the newly created position of president of business insurance for the Fort Worth, Texas-based brokerage.

Mr. Rooker, who joined the brokerage in 1999, was previously chief operating officer, business insurance.

In addition, Higginbotham said it hired John Schramm to succeed Mr. Rooker as COO of the unit.

Most recently, Mr. Schramm was a senior vice president at CNA Financial Corp.
